DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER / SDE (HEALTHCARE) – Hybrid (In office 3 days/week) within Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah. Build a career with purpose. Cambia’s Data & Analytics Engineering Team designs, builds, and maintains data pipelines and infrastructure to collect, process, and store large volumes of data for analysis to support members’ health journeys. Develop reliable, scalable data pipelines and storage systems that enable analytics, machine learning, or reporting. Design and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for data scientists and analysts. Build and maintain data warehouses or data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Hadoop). Automate data workflows and ensure scalability of data systems. Work with big data technologies to handle structured and unstructured data. Qualifications and Certifications

College degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related fields (or equivalent years of relevant healthcare industry experience). One year of experience defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design, or configuration and/or acceptance testing. Experience with a business area supported by this role (e.g., Provider Network and Contract Management, Digital Solutions, Pricing, Membership, Claims). Equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills and Attributes

Expertise in data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow). Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Scala) and query languages (SQL). Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS S3, Google BigQuery). Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. ETL tools and big data tools (e.g., NiFi, Talend, Hadoop, Spark), cloud storage, and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Airflow). Automate and optimize data workflows; ensure data quality and availability for data scientists and analysts. Build data warehouses or data lakes and ensure scalable data architectures. Compensation and Benefits

The expected target hiring range for the Data Platform Engineer is $121k – $142k, depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure/certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target is 15%. The current full salary range is $113k – $185k.
