Overview

Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is looking for a Road Design Project Engineer to join our team. This role provides engineering excellence, plans, identifies, prioritizes, tracks and monitors tasks and sequences in the process to produce the desired outcome. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation and experience in civil design for roadway projects. Roadway projects include but are not limited to: Interstates, Highways, Freeways, Urban Streets, Intersections including Roundabouts, and Interchange Layout. Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Additional compensation types

Primary responsibilities Create civil design plans for road and hydraulic design projects Model road designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Ensure AASHTO codes, INDOT design manual requirements, and design standards are followed Meet deadlines and cost targets Maintain required project documentation Accept additional responsibilities as trainings progress Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering FE/EIT Preferred P.E license optional 3+ years’ roadway design MicroStation, InRoads, GeoPak Building Information Modeling (BIM) Design Build, P3 knowledge Efficient analysis and critical thinking skills Exceptional attention to detail Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Considerable listening and communication skills Benefits and employment details
