Develop and implement a comprehensive industrial hygiene program including components such as respiratory protection, ventilation, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Provide technical expertise in all aspects of the site’s EHS efforts with a focus on industrial hygiene and ventilation. Lead incident investigations impacting employee health. Manage Industrial Hygiene (IH) related internal company requirements. Conduct personal sampling to assess environmental factors and occupational health hazards. Write IH reports communicating sampling results, data interpretation, controls, and recommendations. Develop and conduct IH-related training. Conduct Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations and determine remediation steps. Provide EHS support in the design and installation of new or modified equipment through Management of Change. Review process standards to identify IH and safety concerns and determine appropriate PPE. Review new chemical compositions entering the facility for IH concerns. Collaborate with 3M engineering and industrial hygiene organizations on relevant programs and projects. Monitor regulatory trends related to industrial hygiene that could impact site operations. Assist with coordinating and training of the Site Emergency Response Team. Assist in achieving Lean Six Sigma targets and lead EHS projects. Assist with hearing conservation, ergonomics, radiation, ISO14001, injury prevention and process safety management. Assist in auditing site processes to ensure compliance with 3M, EPA, and OSHA policies (RCRA, Machine Guarding, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, LOTO, and Process Safety Management). Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required at a minimum: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Three (3) years of EHS Engineering or Industrial Hygiene experience in a manufacturing setting (private, public, government or military) Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include: Master's degree or higher in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Public Health or related discipline American Board of Industrial Hygiene, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or willingness to obtain within 18 months of employment Experience in a plant manufacturing environment Experience in implementation of exposure assessment and management systems Experience with chemical agent sampling and analytical method development, including real-time detection Experience with IH data management programs Experience with a wide range of exposure assessment sampling methods and real-time instrumentation Team-oriented with strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and ability to work with plant management and production staff Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills Travel and Relocation
