Overview Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Carpenter located in Framingham, MA. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for overseeing and executing residential renovation projects, including framing, finish carpentry, and project management. Day-to-day tasks will involve managing project timelines, coordinating with trade partners, and ensuring the quality and safety of all construction activities.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible to manage the administrative and construction aspects of one or more projects on a day-to-day basis, utilizing online project management system, documenting communications, and coordinating all project details between the owner, designer, trade partners, and Construction Manager.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality rough and finish carpentry including framing, cabinet installations and millwork.
Maintain a work environment that brings out the best in yourself and other employees, using time efficiently with professionalism, positive attitude, and pride in craftsmanship.
Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly to clients and all trades.
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
Participate in personal development activities that improve task-related skills and professional growth.
Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ethical standards.
PROJECT SPECIFIC:
Read and interpret plans and specifications.
Attend and participate in Project Handoff, Pre-Construction, Punchlist, and weekly/bi-weekly client and production meetings.
Organize progress of trade partners on each assigned project.
Manage material flow to the job, and assist Construction Manager in managing the schedule to finish on time.
Be aware of inventory for assigned projects and store unused items so they may be returned without damage.
Duties include maintaining client satisfaction, daily client communication (verbal and/or logs), coordination with co-workers, maintaining high quality craftsmanship, and thorough project documentation.
Maintain and update project schedule in Buildertrend daily.
Efficient and profitable use of time, manpower, and materials on each project.
Create materials list and order with ample lead time for delivery; check materials on delivery for accuracy.
Utilize Buildertrend daily logs to inform the Construction Manager of job status.
Schedule and supervise inspections, supervise Carpenters and Subcontractors on site, and ensure adherence to Subcontractor SOP.
Communicate client change orders to the Construction Manager prior to execution.
Maintain a secure job site and protect customers’ property and tools.
Post a copy of the Job Site Code of Conduct at each project and ensure adherence to Code of Conduct.
Maintain necessary tools, safety equipment, and vehicle; wear proper safety protection where and when necessary.
Attend all Preconstruction and Company meetings as requested and maintain site organization, dust control, and cleanliness daily.
Maintain a professional company image through neat appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication.
Manage job signs in collaboration with customers and remove upon project completion.
Use Builder Trend time clock daily with proper cost codes.
Take steps to maintain Construction Supervisor License; perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.
