Overview Ryan Companies is hiring for a Preconstruction Project Executive based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to provide strategic leadership and expertise throughout the preconstruction phase of projects ranging from $5 million to $100 million and beyond. The Preconstruction Project Executive guides cost modeling, estimating, value analysis, and budget management to position each project for success from the start. This role also supports project pursuits, design management, and the ongoing enhancement of estimating processes, systems, and tools—while building strong relationships with owners, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal construction teams.

Responsibilities

Support development, architectural, and construction teams with preconstruction expertise and leadership associated with design management, budget modeling, estimating, value design, subcontractor/vendor solicitation, budget/cost management, procurement, project pursuits, and marketing/sales.

Help develop and build relationships with potential clients and current customers.

Assist with formal sales presentations to prospective clients.

Responsibly delegate work to others while prioritizing and balancing big picture and immediate responsibilities.

Display leadership skills and ensure your team is carrying out work promptly and effectively.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Ryan business model and promote innovation within Ryan.

Collaborate with peers and project leaders to balance workload between sectors and divisions.

Resolve conflicts with win-win solutions.

You Will Really Standout If You

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.

At least 10+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, and multi-family experience preferred).

Experience managing Preconstruction teams successfully.

Understanding of local construction markets and advanced knowledge of preconstruction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control and material pricing.

Lead by example, display honesty, integrity, and good judgment while maintaining high standards.

Team player who values and maintains relationships at all levels.

Willingness for occasional project travel if necessary.

Eligibility

Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation The annual base pay is $157,200.00 - $196,500.00. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
