Summary Under the direction of the Product Engineering Manager, the CAD Specialist is responsible for various CAD projects, including creating and setting up patterns, maintaining databases, and providing design support.
Primary Responsibilities
Support in setting up and maintaining files and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Develop and design patterns, creating drafted specifications for suppliers.
Send drawings to vendors and instruct them as necessary.
Develop and design frames when needed.
Create and maintain databases while synchronizing drawing layers to the appropriate software.
Assist customer service with issues (configuration layouts, dimensions, recut for warranty issues, etc.)
Assist and troubleshoot production issues (E.g., maintenance, production).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Develop technical drawings.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
Attention to detail
Knowledge of manufacturing principles and methods.
Ability to interact effectively with others, including external vendors and suppliers, and internal departments
Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to interact collaboratively with others
Minimum Requirements
2 years’ experience with relevant software packages (AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc)
2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc)
Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or related field.
Desirables
Furniture industry experience
3D CAD knowledge
