Overview

Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer role at Jacobs. This role supports our Advanced Manufacturing Group in delivering cost-effective and transformative projects for heavy industrial clients. The position is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates. Responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements Development of final construction documents for these systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water) Coordination with other disciplines Qualifications

At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities Proficiency in Revit Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely Preferred software

AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr. Jacobs provides health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and stock purchase option.
