The CEES Cost Engineer will be responsible for the evaluation and understanding of components pricing for Low Voltage and High Voltage Wire Harnesses.
Cost Engineer responsibilities will include analyzing manufacturing operations, designing workflows and production processes, understanding raw material markets and the supply base. The Wire Harness Cost Engineer will assist the worldwide teams with technical services to estimate component prices for the new technologies.
The mission:
Contribute to the Strategic Vision for Sourcing.
Provide Long-term techno-economical guidance and direction for individuals and projects products.
Stay one step ahead of the product development, challenge and set contacts with components manufacturing and designers.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Research relevant market trends, industrial standards, and innovations
Build and maintain databases for Wire Harness Components and Raw Materials
Build the techno-economical assessment reference for Wire Harness ManufacturingBuild and maintain the regional Model Plant databases
Evaluate and negotiate the NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) with Suppliers & ED&D
Contribute to specification and design of future Stellantis’s Wire Harnesses
Perform Competitive Benchmarking and suggest value optimization ideas to programs to ensure the competitiveness of Stellantis solutions
Multicultural environment covering worldwide perimeter
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related scientific field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Auto industry
Excellent communication skills and ability to create high quality presentation materials and reports for presentation to management levels
Must demonstrate a high level of organization and ability to track a high number of part numbers and part complexity
Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Ability to interface with all levels of the enterprise, across multiple organizations and regions
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific field
Working knowledge of PCBs and PCB Assemblies as well as other electronic components
Experience in production facilities along with knowledge of how Wire Harnesses are made
Working knowledge of wire design development and the steps required to deliver a solution
Experience with Capital XC as a wiring design platform
Familiarity with Cost Model elements and how to apply Activity Based Costing to component cost development
