LJB offers challenging and rewarding assignments for Spring or Summer 2026 Co-op and Intern students in our Charlotte, NC office. Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment. Pay:

$18+ per hour Responsibilities

Assist with engineering tasks related to structural design, analysis, and documentation. Perform routine assignments under close supervision, following established standards, procedures, and drawings. Gain exposure to both office-based and field-based work, including design planning, site visits, and construction processes. Support project teams with technical calculations, reports, and documentation. Contribute to CAD and/or BIM drawings and sketches under the guidance of senior engineers. Education / Essential Credentials

Required: Currently enrolled in a Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program at an accredited university. Required: Must be entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies at the time of the co-op. Qualifications

Prior academic or internship experience with structural design projects preferred. Must be able to travel to various project sites. Required: U.S. citizenship Physical

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas. Equal Opportunity
