Hollywood Agency, an award-winning integrated marketing communications firm, is seeking a dynamic account manager (AM) to join its team. The AM is a core member of the account team, supporting strategic direction on accounts, while providing tactical execution. The AM is a strong communicator who acts as a day-to-day contact for clients. The AM will generate results and deliver exceptional client service, while helping to develop junior staff. Candidates will come to the role with strong media relationships and a love of storytelling.
This is a hybrid role with onsite work located in our Hingham Shipyard office. Conveniently accessible by public transportation (including ferry) from Boston, the agency enjoys sweeping harbor views in a dynamic multi-use community with shops and restaurants.

Position Overview
The account manager (AM) is the account lead for several of the firm’s accounts as it relates to strategy, management, and hands-on execution. In this role, the individual will have fully mastered project management skills. Expectations for an AM
A strong foundation of developing, leading and executing successful PR programs. A track record of delivering high-quality client service. Ability to engage clients and prospects in strategic and thoughtful discussions. A master multi-tasker with the ability to effectively manage accounts and individuals simultaneously and independently. An excellent writer with strong writing and editing skills for internal and external communications. Excellent media relations skills with relevant press; a proven track record of successful media campaigns. A leader in internal and external meetings. Strategic judgment and ability to solve problems. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrate initiative, leadership skills and work ethic. A commitment to networking. Five to seven years in an agency setting. Prior journalism experience is a plus. Ability to simultaneously lead up to five clients, with a billable target of 80%. Overall Responsibilities
Lead account teams in execution of client programs. Set the framework for, and lead the development of, comprehensive PR plans. Manage team to ensure work and hours remain within the scope and allocated budget. Client Service Responsibilities
Serve as a day-to-day resource to clients. Cultivate strong and productive relationships with the client by providing strategic counsel on programs, the industry and competitive landscape. Troubleshoot issues and challenges in a timely manner, thoughtfully and strategically. Lead monthly reporting to the client. Team Management Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, providing clear direction and feedback. Oversee growth and professional development of junior team members. Serve as mentor and resource to junior staff at the agency as it relates to client service, industry networking, staff training and development, and quality control. Cultivate the writing skills of junior staff by providing consistent counsel and training opportunities to help them develop exemplary writing skills. Media Relations Responsibilities
Drive the execution of integrated PR campaigns, including media relations, influencer partnerships, and events. Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to optimize results. Stay current with industry trends, news, and the evolving media landscape to provide fresh insights and proactive recommendations to clients. Produce high-impact results that capture national media attention through carefully cultivated and maintained relationships with key media. Hold team accountable for media relations programs that lead to editorial results. Understand how to achieve and measure results and manage the team to do the same. Serve as a resource for junior staff, helping to brainstorm opportunities. Social Media Responsibilities
Play a clear strategic and creative role in the development of campaigns. Knowledge of the business/operations back-end of the META, X and LinkedIn platforms. Manage team members’ content curation and ensure deadlines are met and responses are delivered in a timely manner. Understand the role of PR across the broader owned, earned, social, search and paid media landscapes. Maintain reports including team hours, forecasts, and over/under tracking. Requirements
BA/BS in communications/marketing/public relations/integrated marketing/journalism or related field. Five to seven years of comparable agency or corporate experience. Self-motivated with a team-first attitude.
