Job Summary: Ensures that all clinical services scheduled at Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) have appropriate demographics and insurance updated in EPIC. Ensures that insurance accounts are built accurately and that all clinical services are properly authorized. Verifies eligibility, pre-determination and pre-authorization requirements for all clinical services at MMI. Responsibilities

Verify eligibility, pre-determination and pre-authorization requirements for all clinical services at MMI. Required Qualifications
High School education or GED. 3 years general office support experience, of which one year must include experience in clinical scheduling, intake, referral coordination or related in a healthcare setting. Microsoft Outlook. Will consider related education/experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of scheduling health care services and ability to utilize clinical scheduling software. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills necessary; able to interface professionally with individuals at all levels. Strong customer focus; ability to communicate with people in a supportive capacity and identify & triage health care needs. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party insurance billing protocols and pre-authorization guidelines. Familiarity with medical billing concepts such as CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 coding. Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly. Preferred Qualifications
Post-high-school education with coursework in business. Experience in health care service delivery coordination and clinic scheduling. Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of EPIC desirable. Preferred experience working with persons with disabilities and interdisciplinary care teams. Compliance Requirements
