Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations Provide safety training as needed Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required Project Scope
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee electrical contractors working on the construction of transmission lines and substations. Our client represents the owner, AEP, as a third-party safety manager. The project begins at the Cameron, WV substation and extends 10 miles west to another substation that is being rebuilt. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety and 2+ years of safety experience OR OSHA 500/510 certification and 5+ years of safety experience in electrical utility work OR BCSP certification (CSP, CHST, or equivalent) Incident investigation cert and exp Additional Requirements
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification Strong understanding of construction safety standards Schedule
Monday - Friday First shift 40-50 hours per week (either 4x10s or 5x10s) Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $50/hr (based on experience and certifications) Per Diem: $115/day (7 days per week) if over 50 miles from project location Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay: Weekly Equal Opportunity
