JPMorganChase Overview: Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Banking Customer Acquisition and Marketing Platforms team. The role focuses on agile delivery of secure, stable, and scalable technology products. Responsibilities
Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks Execute solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Work in an Agile development environment with team members, including Product Owners Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus and contribute to the engineering community with firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices Influence peers and project decision makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, REST services, Spring and Spring Boot 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including Terraform, EKS, ECS, and Lambda 2+ years of hands-on experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra) Collaborate with various stakeholders and independently tackle design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight 5+ years of demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operation stability Understand next generation messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka Strong database fundamentals – ability to write complex queries, understand data organization, and troubleshoot performance issues Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with strong customer focus Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Strong Python experience, especially in developing Agentic and Data solutions for large financial platforms Experience with Agentic technologies (e.g., LangChain), including design and implementation of production-grade solutions Experience using Snowflake, Databricks or a similar PaaS offering Familiarity with Graph databases About Us
