Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager - Northside

Piedmont Cancer Institute (PCI) is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead clinical pharmacy functions across PCI sites. The role ensures the safe, effective, and fiscally responsible use of medications, with direct responsibility for pharmacy technicians. The Manager collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and administrative leaders to optimize pharmacy services and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Minimum Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required Active and unrestricted pharmacist licensure in the state of Georgia Minimum 3 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, including direct management of pharmacy technicians Strong knowledge of sterile compounding (USP 797/800), chemotherapy preparation, stability, compatibility, administration, and safe handling of hazardous medications Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills Summary Of Duties

Ensure pharmacy operations adhere to institutional, state, and federal regulations, including USP 797/800 and OSHA standards. Develop, maintain, and implement departmental policies and procedures. Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, including internal audits and corrective action plans. Provide direct leadership and supervision to pharmacy staff. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and evaluation of team members. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through coaching, counseling, and recognition. Provide instruction and feedback to ensure adherence to PCI standards, regulations, and workflows. Provide clinical support for medication management, including developing and maintaining treatment regimens, submitting prior authorizations, and monitoring formulary adherence. Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert for all disciplines within the organization Develop and execute pharmacy department goals aligned with organizational priorities, patient care standards, and regulatory compliance Promote timely and effective communication across the organization. Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to enhance patient care, ensure consistent standards, and optimize operational efficiency Oversee daily pharmacy operations including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and staffing efficiency. Ensure safe, clean work environments and responsible resource utilization. Continuously evaluate processes and implement cost-effective solutions that maintain quality and safety Identify and address educational needs within the pharmacy team. Serve as a mentor and preceptor to new staff. Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development and participate in organizational training and continuing education programs Support research activities by maintaining familiarity with clinical trial requirements and investigational drug processes. Serve as a pharmacy resource to the PCI research team and contribute to innovative initiatives within the department Support pharmacy staff with direct coverage when needed Support the onboarding and orientation of new providers Participate in space planning as needs arise. Communicate the workspace needs of pharmacy services Prepare reports pertaining to pharmacy services Display willingness and flexibility to travel to other areas and locations as needs require Manage time effectively and delegate responsibility as appropriate Respect and maintain confidential information.
