Accounting Manager position at SolomonEdwardsGroup, LLC for a nationally recognized publicly traded company located in South Jersey. Manage accounting for fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, additions, retirements, impairments, and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP Oversee and track construction work in progress (CWIP) and ensure timely reporting Maintain and standardize accounting policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency Ensure appropriate general ledger coding and timely project/work order setup and closure Maintain SOX control documentation and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls Collaborate with operations and engineering to develop capital budgets and forecasts Analyze actual vs. budget variances, depreciation impacts, and asset performance metrics Contribute to financial planning by providing insights on asset-related financial impacts Supervise, train, and mentor the plant accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement Qualifications
A BS degree in Finance or Accounting; a CPA or MBA is a plus 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated fixed assets experience; Work In Process (WIP) is a plus Excellent presentation and communication skills Employment type: direct hire Note : The compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and skill set of the selected candidate.
