A Day in the Life The Senior Simulation Program Manager leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of a diverse portfolio of simulation projects supporting medical education, product development, and procedural training. This senior role is responsible for driving innovation, managing complex cross-functional teams and external vendors, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact simulation solutions that advance procedural adoption, technology understanding, and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all simulation projects, including next-generation hardware/software simulators, anatomical models, and digital/AR/VR applications.
Lead cross-functional teams—including research and development, field engineers, and external vendors—to ensure organizational goals and timelines are met for simulation hardware, software, and anatomical models.
Lead or contribute to the creation of specifications, statements of work (SOW), and testing protocols for simulation projects.
Develop and execute program plans, set objectives, define milestones, and manage budgets for multiple concurrent projects.
Establish and refine program management processes, policies, and best practices to drive operational excellence and scalability.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary liaison for simulation vendors (e.g., Surgical Solutions, Mentice, Chamberlain Group, TQ, Medtronic 3D Print, Epicardio), managing contracts, deliverables, and performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global trainers, engineers, and clinical experts.
Gather, prioritize, and integrate feedback to inform simulation design, development, and continuous improvement.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Champion the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies (e.g., AR/VR, advanced anatomical modeling) to enhance simulation effectiveness and educational impact.
Lead the testing and validation of simulation solutions with engineers, clinicians, and customers to ensure quality, relevance, and user satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for new simulation initiatives and drive feasibility assessments, scope definition, and resource planning.
Education & Training Enablement
Collaborate with training teams to define requirements and deliver simulation solutions that meet evolving educational objectives.
Oversee the development of training materials, user guides, and instructional videos for simulation products.
Facilitate physician-led education and consulting sessions utilizing simulation tools to promote procedural and product adoption.
Must Have, Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in program management, simulation development for medical device procedures, medical device training and education, or related field.
Or 5 years relevant experience in program management, simulation development for medical device procedures, medical device training and education with an advanced degree.
Nice To Have
Advanced degree preferred.
Cardiac Device Implant Procedure experience.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and managing external vendors at a senior level.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with simulation technologies (hardware, software, AR/VR, anatomical models) highly desirable.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (USD): $141,600.00 - $212,400.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States.
