Department Information The Department of Language and Literature is responsible for teaching GEC courses in English, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Philosophy. The department also houses degree programs in English, Spanish, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Responsibilities and Qualifications Primary Function of Organizational Unit The Department of Language and Literature is responsible for teaching GEC courses in English, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Philosophy. The department also houses degree programs in English, Spanish, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Primary Purpose of Position To teach online courses in Humanities for Project Kitty Hawk. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities The position is for a Humanities Adjunct faculty with an emphasis on classroom management and service to the department. Computer knowledge and willingness to train is mandatory. Use of University tools provided such as Canvas is required. Being able to communicate with students is necessary and expected. Minimum Education/Experience M.A. in Humanities, English, or other related field. Experience teaching in an asynchronous, online environment required. Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation The applicant must hold an M.A. degree and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in a Humanities-related field.
