The Nurse Educator is a registered nurse who works as an expert practitioner within a specialized field of nursing. This role is responsible for evaluating and implementing evidence-based practice, education, and professional development within critical care areas. The Nurse Educator serves as a clinical resource for the Medical/Surgical units (3M, 4M, 5M) and focuses on the development of new graduate nurses within the Medical/Surgical Departments. Responsibilities

Evaluate and implement evidence-based practice, education, and professional development within critical care areas. Serve as a clinical resource for the Medical/Surgical units (3M, 4M, 5M) Nursing staff for bedside care. Focus on new graduate nurses development within the Medical/Surgical Departments. Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited NLN-approved RN program. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Education preferred. Five (5) years of recent clinical experience in a Medical/Surgical setting; one year of education background preferred. Current SC nursing license or compact state license; BLS and ACLS required. Excellent communication and organizational skills; outcomes-oriented with knowledge of education methods and clinical practice. Benefits
