Test Engineer
at MANN+HUMMEL, based onsite at our Portage, MI facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet rigorous internal standards and customer specifications. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, analyzing data, managing test equipment, and supporting the engineering team with technical insights. Plan and oversee product validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements. Develop and execute testing procedures for new and existing products. Analyze test data and provide detailed, timely reporting. Maintain and calibrate test equipment; procure new tools as needed. Investigate failures, analyze root causes, and recommend product/process modifications. Present test results internally and externally, supporting customer discussions. Communicate test needs and procedures clearly to test technicians. Track and manage testing budgets and schedules. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and laboratory best practices. Work with hand tools including wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and move objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods and documentation. Your Profile
Education & Experience
2 years of relevant professional experience in a testing or engineering environment preferred Skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, engineering mechanics (static & dynamic), and materials science Proficiency in instrumentation and lab safety standards Competency in Microsoft Office tools Familiarity with advanced lab techniques and test methods for mechanical testing Any experience repairing or maintaining cars, trucks, or motorcycles is highly desired We offer
