Accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations. Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician guidance. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within guidelines of company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Select, schedule, and develop pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law. Complete patient and physician calls under supervision. Assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy in line with company policies and applicable laws. Ensure tasks are completed on time and maintain efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist. Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule of activities. Recommend allocation of pharmacy hours. Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and stocked environment. Ensure compliance and execution of business administrative activities and inventory management tasks that do not require pharmacist licensure. Manage annual inventory preparation. Drive new technology/process rollouts, champion change, and engage the team in action planning. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy department equipment. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager on recordkeeping and security safeguards. Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy during applicable prescription-dispensing activities and understand roles in ensuring that elements of Good Faith Dispensing are met. Protect assets and support diversion monitoring; report concerns that could compromise pharmacy security to the Pharmacy Manager. Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to company policies for pharmacy errors and quality improvement. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, resolve customer issues, and prevent payment rejections. Follow up with insurance companies and providers and participate in third-party audits. Support Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage Community Outreach Portal and, under the Pharmacy Manager, coordinate pharmacists for off-site immunization clinics and community events; build and sustain retail partnerships. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline and termination decisions. Apply constructive discipline policies and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Maintain technician attendance and timeliness; drive engagement and action planning to improve performance. Hire, onboard, train, and schedule technicians. Monitor training completion and enforce scheduling/training policies. Identify gaps in knowledge and support technicians through hands-on training or learning modules. Monitor licensures, registrations, and certifications for pharmacy staff; document status using available resources. Ensure proper procedures for recruitment, record retention, and training as required by company policy and laws. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and required state certifications. Continue professional development and training as required by the company. Seek and utilize feedback and mentorship to improve performance. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from support centers or other key channels. Participate in store/pharmacy meetings and weekly check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital settings. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation. The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour.
