Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB) is seeking a Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking, growing Cincinnati nonprofit that makes our region cleaner, safer, healthier and more connected. KCB’s mission is to empower all Cincinnatians to build community and create a positive future through revitalization, education, and mobilization. Job Description: This Finance Manager will oversee Keep Cincinnati Beautiful’s budgeting, financial planning and accounting practices. Duties include producing and verifying financial reports on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, and collaborating with agency leadership, including the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees to develop strategic financial goals. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting, budgeting and financial analysis, and excellent communication skills to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Compensation The Finance Manager is a full-time position (40 hours/week), with benefits. The pay range is $65,000-$75,000 per year, based on experience and they will report directly to the Executive Director. Keep Cincinnati Beautiful staff are currently working in a hybrid remote/in-person setting. This position includes mileage reimbursement. Non-monetary benefits: Sick leave accrual of approx. 1 day per month, up to 90 days Flexible work schedule & hybrid setup (Work from home, office/studio, and on site) Networking opportunities with professionals and community organizations Some KCB-branded attire provided Finance Manager Responsibilities: Process Accounts Receivable/Payable and handle payroll in a timely manner Prepare contractual invoicing/billing for City and other contracts Develop annual budgets in partnership with the Leadership Team and Finance Committee Manage financial planning and forecasting Monitor KCB’s financial status and performance Prepare monthly financial reports and quarterly programmatic Profit and Loss Statements Prepare outgoing invoices as scheduled or when requested by staff Prepare semi-monthly payroll, record sick and vacation earnings and usage Assist with the annual audit process Maintain personnel files with documentation required for audit purposes Assist with basic HR duties like new hire documents, compliance, and temporary disability insurance and workers’ compensation filings Bank and account reconciliation for multiple financial institutions Monitor and manage cash flow and forecasting Record keeping and/or filing of bills/invoices Make deposits and record all cash receipts Organization-Wide Support: Collaborate with fellow team members to implement cross-program initiatives Assist with organization-wide fundraising and volunteer events including Cincy Block Party, Love Thy ‘Nati Celebration, and volunteer cleanups when workflow permits Education and Experience: Proven work experience as a financial manager in a non-profit organization BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost containment principles Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections Highly experienced with a variety of revenue platforms Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel/Sheets a must Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Detail oriented professional with great judgment and decision-making skills Ability to manage time effectively Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Characteristics of a KCB team member: Clear Communicator – We value open and honest communication as a means of creating efficiency, understanding and progress Respectful – We take great pride in our team, starting with a foundation of trust and respect Problem Solver – We anticipate problems, seek new solutions, and always do our best Community Minded – We take great pride in our work and community Mindful – Practice warmth and genuine connection with others Relentless – We love life and work and know our purpose in it Team Player – We step up and ask, “How can I help?” Reliable – We hold ourselves and others to high standards and are serious about our culture Inclusive – We celebrate diversity and welcome inclusivity to foster belonging Trustworthy – We say what we mean and do what we say How to apply:
