Position: Program Director & Open Rank Professor, 12 Month Salaried (Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases – Medicine). Location: Tallahassee, FL. Regular; Full-Time. Job ID: 58965. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching mission of the program, the research mission via participation in capstone committees, to program leadership and administration, and to university and public service. Lead the accreditation process and maintain program compliance with accreditation standards; develop, review, and revise the program's strategic plan; identify clinical fieldwork sites; oversee admissions; provide academic advising; monitor, evaluate, and remediate student performance; plan for fiscal stability; serve as primary contact with the American Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC); communicate with the ACGC about compliance with standards. Participation in clinical and diagnostic laboratory settings is encouraged. This is a tenure-earning, clinical role. Qualifications

Master's degree in genetic counseling and American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification. Must meet all qualification requirements mandated by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC), including at least 5 years of experience as a certified genetic counselor, at least 3 years in a patient-facing role; having been the course instructor/instructor of record for at least six credit hours; and, if becoming a program director for the first time, at least 10 hours of training in curriculum design, assessment, and educational andragogy; and having supervised fieldwork for at least five genetic counseling graduate students for at least 500 total contact hours in the last 10 years. Strong collaboration and ability to contribute to educational, research, and public service missions. Preferred Qualifications

We welcome candidates who may not meet all ACGC requirements initially but have a master’s degree in genetic counseling, ABGC certification, and are willing to acquire remaining ACGC requirements during the first year. Contact
