Overview The Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager will be an integral part of Intuit’s Technology Sourcing Team and will be responsible for driving complex sourcing projects and value chain optimization opportunities across software, hardware and other technology-related categories including data, AI, SaaS, telecommunications, and emerging technologies. This strategic role will bring together multiple teams across Intuit to identify opportunities to drive operational improvements, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and ensure best value from our technology partners. This role demands a strong understanding of both the technology landscape, impact on business outcomes and total cost of ownership, with a focus on driving business transformation within the IT organization. Responsibilities include developing and executing sourcing strategies, identifying and quantifying opportunities, managing RFPs and proofs of concept, conducting TCOs, and leading challenging vendor negotiations.
Responsibilities
Proactively lead and manage strategic sourcing initiatives supporting our IT organization
Develop and implement sourcing strategies supporting business transformation
Drive end-to-end sourcing, including complex negotiations with technology partners
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain high ethical standards in all sourcing activities
Stay informed on industry innovations in both software and hardware domains to drive advancements
Evaluate and recommend strategic opportunities to leadership, considering industry trends for specific spend categories
Conduct opportunity assessments independently or with analyst support
Qualifications
5+ years of strategic sourcing experience in the technology area
Experience with ERP and Source-to-Pay tools
Proven ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
Experience developing and presenting business cases and sourcing strategies for optimizing technology spend
Experience in contract development and management for both software and hardware
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and diverse stakeholders
Experience negotiating with global vendors
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Desired Skills
Demonstrated success in cost reduction and productivity improvements; strong influencing and relationship-building skills
Solid understanding of software licensing and familiarity with hardware procurement contracts
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Awareness of vendor management best practices relevant to both software and hardware
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Southern California: 136,500 - 184,500
