Overview
Medicare Bid Optimization Principal Divisional Strategy Consultant - Hybrid at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC). This role supports Medicare Advantage (MA) goals and strategy by producing analytics to influence decision making, goal setting, and overall bid optimization. The position assists with leading the team in Medicare Advantage short-term and multi-year planning, executing the business plan and strategies, and coordinating with divisional leadership on functional-area strategies and business plans. The role involves working with matrix partners (Actuary, Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing) to ensure alignment with the divisional strategy and documenting and analyzing competitive and market information for integration with overall strategy. Includes project management, technical analysis, and long-term prioritization to influence the Medicare Advantage annual bids. Location: Hybrid (3 days in office; 2 days remote). Sponsorship is not available. Compensation: $90,900.00 - $164,200.00 (exact varies by skills, experience, and location). Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to strategic planning for Medicare Advantage, including short-term and multi-year planning. Assist leadership in executing the business plan, strategies, analytics, and data needs for the division. Collaborate with divisional leadership and matrix partners to ensure alignment with the divisional strategy. Document and analyze competitive and market information for integration with overall strategy. Manage projects, perform technical analysis, and prioritize initiatives to influence annual MA bids. Required Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting, or 5 years of consulting in strategic planning, business development and financial management operations with a bachelor’s degree, or 8 years of experience in strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care. Experience leading and formulating strategy with the ability to build strong connections with people and teams. Drive results across departments in a matrixed environment. Interpersonal skills including presentation, written and verbal communication. Experience with business analytics and information synthesis. Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends. Able to work in a fast-paced, evolving organization and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work directly with corporate leadership. Analytical, program management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Job Qualifications
Advanced degree such as Juris Doctor, MBA or MHA. Medicare Advantage bid experience preferred. Experience in Teradata, SQL, and Microsoft Excel required. Python and Tableau experience preferred. Locations: Headquarter offices including Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL; Richardson, TX; Tulsa, OK; Albuquerque, NM; Helena, MT. Schedule: This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.
