Overview

Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco — Research associate position at the Mission Bay campus of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center for an outstanding candidate interested in cancer biology or translational cancer research. The lab focuses on oncogenes, signaling by oncogenes, therapeutic targeting of oncogenes, cellular addiction to oncogenes, and related challenges in oncogenes and cancer biology. Techniques used include mammalian cell culture, transfections, lentiviral/retroviral infection, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, plasmid cloning and mutagenesis, PCR, protein purification, small molecule discovery, transgenic and xenograft mouse models, and immunohistochemistry. Bachelor\'s degree or higher is required. Candidates with experience in mouse xenograft studies are highly preferred. Compensation is based on degree and years of relevant job experience per UC scales. Responsibilities

Engage in cancer biology or translational cancer research in a lab setting, utilizing a range of molecular biology and cellular techniques described above. Qualifications
