Overview
Engineering Tech Lead, Network and Infrastructure Automation at Freddie Mac. This role combines technical leadership with people management; the engineer will drive automation initiatives while mentoring a high-performing team. Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, network automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions. Architect and implement robust automation solutions using Python and Ansible to create scalable automation frameworks that reduce manual operations and improve reliability. Leverage Arista automation capabilities, CloudVision Portal (CVP), and Arista Validated Designs (AVD) to streamline network provisioning and management. Establish CI/CD best practices using Jenkins and Bitbucket, creating streamlined deployment pipelines that accelerate delivery while maintaining quality standards. Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications. Foster team growth and technical excellence through mentorship and upskilling programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects. Establish metrics and monitoring practices to demonstrate the value and impact of automation initiatives. Influence infrastructure strategy by collaborating with other engineering leads and contributing to standards and best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and automation 2+ years of team leadership or management experience Strong proficiency in Python for automation and tooling Extensive experience with Ansible for configuration management and orchestration Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows; experience with Bitbucket Working knowledge of Jira for project management and issue tracking Deep understanding of infrastructure automation principles and best practices Experience with Arista network automation, CVP, and AVD (nice to have) Knowledge of network infrastructure automation and software-defined networking concepts Employer Information & Guidance
