The System Architect develops strategic solutions integrating diverse Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) tools into a unified system solution based upon requirements. Uses COTS tools in conjunction with Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) delivered solutions to meet customer requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Analyzes the impact of planned and unplanned modifications and makes innovative recommendations for adjustments to the architecture. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides input regarding the applicability of tool integration. The Level 4 System Architect shall possess the following capabilities: Establishes systems information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communication to support the total requirements and interfaces. Ensures the systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architecture and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solutions for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action. Ensures that the common operating system is compliant and provides daily supervision and direction to staff. If assigned to Directory Services TTOs, experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM) Services, and MS Exchange are required. Qualifications Associates degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience or Bachelors degree with six (6) years of relevant experience.
