Behavioral Science Solutions (BSS) is a pioneering function dedicated to leveraging behavioral science to support the strategic growth of Syneos Health Communications. We are seeking a forward-thinking Director of Behavioral Science Solutions to join our organization. In this position, you will leverage behavioral science methodologies to design and implement internal growth initiatives, such as consultative selling training grounded in behavioral science or leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to democratize access to behavioral insights and optimize program effectiveness. You will serve as an internal consultant, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to apply behavioral insights to client services, new business practices, and team development to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in behavioral science, experience applying evidence-based methods in business settings, and strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Qualification Requirements
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in applied behavioral science, including design, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral/psychological interventions, research or training. Communication agency and/or business development experience is a plus. Data Savvy: Proficiency in survey design, qualitative methods, statistical data analysis, and aligning research with business goals. Experience with data visualization tools such as AI or Qualtrics is an advantage. Communication Skills: Experience working across disciplines and communicating relevant behavioral science concepts to non-science experts Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies that enhance behavioral science applications is a plus. Education: Advanced degree in a behavioral or social science (e.g., clinical psychology, behavioral economics, organizational psychology, neuroscience) OR equivalent experience supplemented by relevant certificate programs (e.g., behavioral design, coaching, or applied research methods).
Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership: Contribute to the development of strategic programs driving alignment with business objectives and tailored to diverse teams. Evaluate complex data and findings for validity, significance and implications. Drive program evaluation by defining, collecting, and analyzing key outcome metrics. Provide strategic recommendations on program direction, resource optimization, and risk mitigation to achieve superior outcomes and long-term success. Innovation and Behavioral Insights Adoption: Champion cutting-edge behavioral science methodologies to enhance understanding of customers, elevate consultative selling skills and enhance team effectiveness. Utilize emerging technologies, including AI, to democratize access to behavioral insights and enhance program effectiveness. Implement advanced change management strategies to ensure seamless adoption of new programs. Contribute to high-impact proposals that effectively communicate to senior leaders the value and strategic importance of new programs and initiatives. Engage internal clients with a compelling narrative and turn objections into deeper understanding. Stakeholder engagement: Assume a pivotal role as an internal consultant, engaging with senior-level stakeholders to provide psychology-informed counsel, synthesize information into actionable deliverables, and facilitate strategic brainstorming sessions. Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout program lifecycles. Contribute to additional strategic projects as required, displaying versatility and a proactive approach in supporting agency leaders.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $150,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
