The goal of RS EDENs Support Specialist role is to help develop and maintain safe and positive environments where our clients and staff can thrive. The Supervisor of Support Specialists will be responsible for overseeing the hiring, orientation, ongoing training, and supervision of all Support Specialists. This includes overseeing schedules and day to day operations of assigned residences, including the outpatient housing for participants at Recovery Programming, Lorraine apartments (family housing), and Beattie Manor (men in outpatient programming). The Supervisor is expected to provide trauma informed coaching whenever possible, especially during and in response to active client crises. Each site is a unique facility and community with its own norms and rules. The Supervisor cultivates and communicates a clear understanding of broader goals and expectations alongside site-specific requirements and norms. Support Specialists also provide after hours support for participants in residential and family housing. Across all sites, the Supervisor is expected to foster a positive culture and facilitate high quality customer service with a compassionate approach. A successful candidate will have professional experience triaging participants concerns under pressure and at least a baseline understanding of community resources such as food shelves or urgent care centers. They will partner with peers across the organization, members of their team, and the larger community to promote program goals, activities, and events. They will provide immediate crisis response and coordinated follow up, consulting with program and/or on-call staff as needed. They will enhance the safety and security of sites and programs by maintaining control of the secured building entrance and utilizing security cameras to monitor activity. Support Specialist staff are located onsite at Eden House and Lorraine Apartments. Pay range:
$56,160-$62,400/annually Responsibilities
Act as a role model for staff and clients by conducting service interactions with an elevated level of professionalism and demonstrated boundaries Collaborate with team members and organizational partners, including case management, property management, and clinical professionals Provide direct regular supervision to Support Specialist staff Coordinate, facilitate and track all required staff training, time off such as vacations and holidays and oversee shift scheduling by Support Specialists, including monitoring the staffing budget and tracking overtime Represent RS EDENs Support Services program area to the community at large via positive relationships with area residents, businesses, neighbors, donors, and other professionals interested in RS EDEN programs Ensure Eden House, Lorraine, and Beattie are consistently staffed, anticipating scheduling needs and managing gaps in staffing whenever necessary Build an effective staffing on call and back up structure to ensure staffing and service stability Offer flexibility, including nights and weekends, to address staff and site issues that arise Safeguard personally identifiable health information (PHI) in accordance with duties and current agency HIPAA notification statement and standards Coordinate interviewing and hiring of Support Specialist staff Maintain outpatient/family housing sites and needs of those sites Participate as a member of Clinical Care leadership team to optimize operations across Recovery sites Other duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements
Required
Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple individual and systemic barriers to success Leadership skills and the capability of working alone with little supervision Preferred
2 years of Management and Scheduling experience preferred Associate Degree preferred Experience and/or education in the field of Human Services for at least 2 years preferred Benefits
