WBAL NewsRadio AM & FM in Baltimore, a Hearst station, is seeking a part-time Talk Show Host. Live and local conversation on the issues that matter to the community is a key part of the station’s success. We maintain a 24/7 local connection and commitment to breaking news and captivating talk. The host will serve as a guest host on high-profile weekday shows as well as weekend mornings. This is an opportunity to be part of an award-winning team in one of America’s great cities. Salary range is $24.23 - $25.48 per hour, depending on experience as outlined in the SAG-AFTRA Collective Bargaining Agreement. You will report to the Programming News Director. Job Responsibilities
Be able to deliver opinion driven content based on a foundation of news and fact Have strong knowledge base of both national and local topics with an emphasis on the Baltimore region Deliver content via social media platforms In-person attendance required Requirements
Past hosting experience helpful Flexibility in schedule with an ability to adjust to breaking news coverage Audio samples of past work will be helpful Related military experience will be considered Must join SAG-AFTRA Diversity Statement
