Job Overview The Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) Technology Software Engineer will be mainly responsible for supporting Actimize solutions and platforms including patch installation, solution enhancements and upgrades in non‑prod environments, implementation of new modules, models, and custom processes, etc. In addition, this position will also be primarily responsible for performing model tuning and analysis for both Anti‑Money Laundering and Customer Risk Rating models.
Responsibilities
Implement and test Actimize related patches applicable to SAM, CDD, CTR, AIS and/or ActOne in non‑prod environments.
Perform Actimize customizations by developing new AIS processes, SQL stored procedures, Java plugins, SAM XML rule configurations, ActOne designer configurations, etc.
Develop functional and technical requirements to be reviewed by FCC business and technology stakeholders.
Develop data requirements for new models and external alert ingestion processes; implement new FCC solutions supporting AML, OFAC and fraud.
Work with other technology teams across the enterprise to ensure common direction and compliance.
Research and provide guidance on new and emerging technologies and architectural standards focusing on model tuning and optimization of Actimize models.
Support FCC director/manager in all aspects of application design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Actimize solutions and other FCC applications.
Utilize a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs to recommend process enhancements.
Perform data analysis required for segmentation and model tuning of Anti‑Money Laundering and Customer Risk Rating models—including below and above the line threshold analysis and generation of sample alerts for investigation review.
Requirements
Required Skills:
Advanced knowledge of implementing Actimize AIS 4.x, ActOne 6.x, 10.x, SAM 10.x, CDD 10.x, CTR 3.x platforms and solutions. Experience with various fraud and list screening solutions is a plus.
Knowledge of automated scheduling tools such as Control‑M or Task Scheduler.
Experience programming using Java/J2EE and Python.
Comprehensive understanding of both the technical and business sides of Actimize AML solutions and processes (e.g., database components, AIS components, user investigation process or workflow, etc.).
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related technical field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the financial services industry in anti‑money laundering, currency transaction reporting, name/message screening, and fraud.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience executing phases of end‑to‑end Actimize SAM, CDD, and CTR solution implementation including business requirements gathering, technical design definition, solution installation and upgrade, configuration, test case creation and execution, and production deployment.
In‑depth experience with AML scenario design and tuning, including data profiling and quality analysis, and statistical analysis of account and customer monthly transactions for baseline threshold discovery and analysis.
Experience with data integration through real‑time (e.g., MQ, web services) or batch (e.g., ETL processes) with source systems such as Miser, ACH Plus, and Pay Plus.
Experience with change management, incident management, and problem management routines.
Experience writing functional and technical design requirements.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in advisory and technology consulting, focusing on AML, KYC/CDD, and OFAC areas is a plus.
