Assist Special Events & Promotions Manager with overseeing the facilitation and logistics of in-house events and promotions, which include giveaways, gift pickups, and player events/tournaments. Include all décor and centerpieces as directed by the Special Events Manager. Manage associates work schedules based on needs. Provide training and coaching to all event/promotion associates as directed by the Special Events Manager. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Responsibilities
Handle the logistics for events & promotions, gifts pickups, and Slot & Bj Tournaments set-up and breakdown. Assist with all décor such as balloon columns and centerpieces. Train, schedule, and coach event/promotion associates. Occasional cash handling. Follow cash handling instructions and property cash handling policies and procedures. Assist patrons with requests for assistance, services, and information in a courteous, respectful manner. Provide superior guest service to all guests. Educate customers on upcoming promotions and events. Maintain knowledge of property information, including memorabilia. Uphold the Mission Statement – We create authentic experiences that rock. Represent Bally’s Biloxi in a positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors. Live by the Hard Rock Values. Qualifications
High School diploma general education (GED). Must possess basic computer skills and be knowledgeable with casino computer systems and Microsoft applications. A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position. Must possess leadership skills. 6 months minimum work experience as events/promotions associate. Must possess excellent organizational skills. Must be very detail oriented. Must project a professional and positive image. Must have a high level of energy. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests. Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations. Excellent telephone skills required. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Must be able to stand for 4 or more hours. Must be prompt and able to work in a very-fast paced environment. Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The courses are required for this position: Active Shooter Awareness Training Cybersecurity Awareness for the Workplace General Employee Safety Training Hazard Communication Responsible Gaming Awareness Training Title 31 Introduction Overview* Title 31 SAR Incident Reporting Awareness Training* Sexual Harassment Awareness for Frontline Title 26 & Form 8300 for Non-Casino Departments* Working Conditions
