Overview

Co-Op - Data Science Project Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim. This role involves working on a global strategic initiative to improve data utilization and support data-driven decision making. Applicants must be located within commuting distance for the duration of the Co-op / Internship. Responsibilities

Work with a business team to analyze data sets and design analytical solutions. Translate ideas to data, perform data preparation, analysis and modeling, user testing, product development and maintenance. Compensation

This position offers an hourly rate typically between $20/hour and $33/hour, commensurate with degree program level. Rate depends on degree level. An overview of benefits is available via the company site. Duties & Responsibilities

Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing. Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship. Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better (no rounding up). Major must be related to the field of internship. Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework. Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities

BA/BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or another STEM field. Experience with Data Visualization Tools. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in Python and/or R, SQL. Experience with distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop) is a plus. Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry. Experience or coursework in machine learning and/or deep learning packages for R and Python. Experience with large and complex healthcare datasets, preferably patient-level longitudinal data; experience with adherence, healthcare utilization, drug abandonment, patient journey, etc. Ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges in an enterprise environment. Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience in managed markets and pharma market access ecosystem. Experience in the commercial health insurance industry. Knowledge of payer analytics, payer sales, patient affordability programs. Eligibility
