MEP Superintendent - Traveling role at

Turner Construction Company Location: Bridgewater, NJ 08807 (projects may be located elsewhere). This is a traveling role supporting projects in other parts of the country, including Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, etc. Responsibilities

Leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor regarding Mechanical and Electrical systems on the project. Ensures safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to the project budget. Supervises and develops Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor within area of responsibility. Reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager or MEP Manager. Manage and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade staffing levels for the mechanical and electrical work. Coordinate work among trades to promote a unified project operation; resolve local area issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor/equipment, scheduling, and other relevant matters. Oversee site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and applicable safety codes and regulations. Develop recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget; create and manage work sequencing and scheduling. Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues and resolve them. Manage the billing process for work in place, including monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments. Ensure work installed conforms to approved contract documents; coordinate with engineers for MEP layouts and master coordination drawings. Lead project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, training, and punch list for system acceptance and handover. Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and codes. Review project changes with the Project Engineer and maintain detailed daily records of MEPS trade contractors' progress. Participate in preconstruction activities (e.g., constructability, logistics). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling, cost control, contract/generals/subcontract documents, drawings and specifications; specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems. Proficiency in building information modeling and coordination of mechanical/electrical systems with other project systems. Strong written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Requirements & Benefits

Minimum years experience and travel as specified; regular job type; field leadership role within Turner’s New Jersey division. Compensation: Salaried Exempt; salary range around $150,000 - $180,000 annually (range provided in posting).
