As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's AI/ML & Data Platforms team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Develops secure high-quality APIs, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Conduct integrity checks to ensure data formats are accurate and consistent.
Create web-based user interfaces for seamless access to resources.
Leverage programming language libraries to generate power point presentation.
Develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions that transform raw data into well-presented outputs.
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
Hands-on experience in designing and developing APIs.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Demonstrable ability to code in Python.
Experience in creating web user interfaces.
Foundational knowledge of database concepts.
Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Exposure to cloud technologies.
Capable of programming in several languages, for example, Java and JavaScript.
Basic SQL Database knowledge.
