Field Implementation Specialist (Automation) , you will be responsible for the successful implementation, configuration, and optimization of laboratory automation solutions at customer sites. You will collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, application specialists, service engineers, and laboratory staff to ensure efficient system deployment and integration into the customer\'s workflow. This role is essential to enhancing customer satisfaction, promoting our client’s diagnostic automation portfolio, and driving operational excellence in clinical laboratory environments. Key Responsibilities
Lead or support the installation and configuration of our client\'s laboratory automation systems, including pre-installation planning, onsite setup, and system validation. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure readiness of site infrastructure and resources for timely deployment. Act as a technical liaison during implementation, translating customer needs into actionable system configurations. Provide hands-on support, training, and guidance to customers during the go-live phase to ensure a smooth transition and system adoption. Workflow Integration & Optimization Analyze laboratory workflows and recommend automation configurations that improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput. Collaborate with applications and workflow consultants to tailor system settings to customer-specific protocols and needs. Technical Troubleshooting Identify and resolve issues during system deployment, escalating complex problems to appropriate technical teams when necessary. Ensure systems are operating according to performance specifications prior to project closure. Documentation & Compliance Complete all required documentation for system installations, configurations, and customer sign-offs in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Maintain accurate and timely service and project records in relevant databases or CRM systems. Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. 2+ years of experience in a field-based technical role, preferably in diagnostic or medical device automation. Experience with laboratory equipment, LIS interfaces, or automated systems preferred. Technical & Professional Skills Strong technical understanding of automation, robotics, and clinical laboratory instruments. Familiarity with diagnostic workflows, sample management, and data systems (LIS, middleware). Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in interpreting technical schematics and system documentation. Comfortable working in hospital or clinical lab environments.
