Senior Embedded Software Engineer to start immediately. This is a Direct Hire position, 100% on site in Irvine, CA. We are hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to start immediately. Key Responsibilities

Participate in the early-stage evaluation of various wireless chipsets, assess selection and performance. Complete bring-up tasks including driver adaptation, script adaptation, and functionality adaptation for designated chipsets. Contribute to the design and implementation of a unified framework for integrating diverse wireless chipsets. Integrate, develop, and optimize new Wi‑Fi chipsets, operating systems, wireless drivers, and firmware to achieve high performance, stability, and seamless whole-home connectivity. Write efficient, maintainable code and continuously optimize wireless performance and resource utilization. Research and stay current with the latest 802.11 wireless protocols and industry technologies; develop and produce certification software to ensure compliance with evolving requirements. Design, implement, and review wireless and mesh-related functionalities with cross-functional teams. Deliver high-quality code with documentation; participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Design, refine, and implement self-testing standards for wireless modules and engage in self-testing to intercept quality issues during development. Independently track and resolve complex technical issues related to connectivity, stability, and performance using debugging tools (e.g., Wireshark, Tcpdump); collaborate with chipset vendors as needed and document results. Address customer, market, and factory feedback to enhance product performance and user satisfaction. Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed about industry trends to guide product strategies. Provide training and produce technical summaries while supporting onboarding and mentoring of new team members. Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Over 5 years of relevant experience in wireless driver development (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, or Thread). Hands-on experience integrating Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread technologies; experience with Wi‑Fi 6/7/8, and related ecosystems. Proficiency in C or C++ programming. Strong understanding of wireless protocols, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and related standards. Experience troubleshooting driver issues related to Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, or Thread; real-time performance optimization. Experience with development and optimization of Wi‑Fi 6/7 chipsets. Proficient with network testing/analysis tools (Wireshark, iPerf, Tcpdump, NetSpot). Knowledge of wireless roaming and mesh technologies (802.11k/v/r, 802.11s or Easymesh). Familiarity with RF calibration techniques and performance testing methodologies. Strong analytical and collaborative skills. Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Wi‑Fi-related research papers or patents. Understanding of communication theory and signal processing. Experience developing standards for the Wi‑Fi Alliance.
