Reports to the FIU in DC Director of the Briefing Center and collaborates with the Division of Information Technology, Media Technology Services to coordinate daily support and maintenance of all AV systems. This role assists departments with content capture, delivery of digital communications products, and provides technical expertise for FIU in Washington, DC events. Coordinates the maintenance of FIU in Washington, DC owned media, tech, AV, and computer equipment for the office including printers, desktops, laptops, lab equipment, and software; coordinates repairs and provides technical support to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Responsibilities

Support the digital communications team in video capture and editing, podcasting, social media, and graphic design. Oversee design and content creation for department operations and the digital signage program using a Content Management System. Create graphic and interactive training resources and documentation with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator. Assist with supporting proprietary applications used within the department (e.g., Zoom, Social Tables, FourWinds, Cyber Cafe, Venus Content Manager, Pharos Print Management, Door Access, SSRS, When I Work, 7 Point OPS, Qualtrics, and similar platforms). Provide support for delivery of academic and instructional content; provide after-hours support for events and system maintenance. Provide technical leadership at FIU events using EMS, Meeting Matrix, and Social Tables for event planning. Coordinate programming of audio visual systems using Crestron software and manage music for the building. Manage projects involving Qualtrics and Adobe Suite software. Manage lighting design and programming for intelligent lighting systems, including event themes. Program audio visual systems using Crestron software and manage building music systems. Serve as a backup to maximize uptime for hardware and assist with server administration in FIU in DC’s data center. Day-to-day management of Crestron-based AV systems, lighting, and related spaces. Management of core systems/processes such as Social Tables, Video Surveillance, Reclaim Hub, departmental website, radio system, and other digital assets. Coordinate with DoIT for maintenance schedules; manage venue access, hardware/software inventories, vendor quotations, deliveries, installations, and repairs of AV systems. Provide leadership in supervising daily assignments of student interns. Develop and manage processes for technology use; provide user support via in-person, Zoom, documentation, and other methods. Develop content capture concepts, including story boards, scripts, and site selection in the Washington, DC area. Aid users with computer or networking problems via phone, email, or in-person. Manage, audit, and monitor media, AV, tech, and IT equipment and assets to ensure accurate inventory records. Maintain, install, upgrade, repair, and troubleshoot desktop computers, software/hardware, email, and peripherals per area standards. Assist with management of AV equipment, video conferencing, complex microphone/speaker setups, streaming equipment, event setup/breakdown, and Polycom troubleshooting. Collaborate with outside vendors to identify equipment needs, obtain estimates, and recommend services or installations. Provide support for digital signage equipment and related maintenance. Honor essential duties during emergencies (e.g., hurricanes) and be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closings. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field and four (4) years of related experience; OR eight (8) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience supervising employees and managing production schedules and budgets. Desired Qualifications

Proficient in events, video conferencing, and presentation systems. Knowledge of audio, visual, and design content management systems such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Qualtrics, EMS, etc. Proficient in configuring and maintaining computer hardware, components, operating systems, and peripherals. Experience in content capture, video production, photography, and intricate audio visual equipment for a showcase facility. Advertised Salary

$50,000 - $60,000 Work Schedule
