Location: Chicago, Lake Forest, IL or Charlottesville, VA. The opportunity is for a
Software Engineer
in the CMI business unit. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics globally to support patient care decisions across a range of conditions. What You’ll Work On
Assist in development of multi-tiered software applications. Participate in design and requirements gathering for new features and functionality in an existing system. Debug and determine fixes for identified software defects. Unit test implemented software to ensure it meets requirements. Assist in integration testing of multiple units to ensure compliance with requirements. Collaborate with a highly integrated Agile/Scrum team. Some travel (~5%). Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or 2+ years of experience directly related to the RALS platform. 2+ years of production-quality software engineering and coding experience. Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency with C# or another object-oriented language in a production environment (required). Experience with web development. SQL database experience (crafting query scripts) (required). Familiarity with software version control (Git or equivalent) (required). Software development lifecycle management experience (TFS or similar) (required). Compensation and Benefits
The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted. Benefits information can be found at Abbott Benefits.
