Google Cloud - Data Specialist

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned Google Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform to drive transformation for financial services clients. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable AI/ML solutions that enhance risk management, customer experience, and operational efficiency across banking, insurance, and capital markets.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Gemini and Google Cloud’s data ecosystem.
Architect and operationalize end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
Conversant with new technology concepts such as GenAI and Agentic strategy.
Collaborate with financial services clients to understand business challenges and translate them into AI-driven use cases such as fraud detection, credit scoring, semantic search, and customer personalization.
Integrate AI solutions with legacy systems (e.g., Oracle workloads) to modernize data platforms while ensuring compliance with financial regulations like Basel III and GDPR.
Contribute to Capgemini’s AI accelerators and reusable components for financial services, including risk models, compliance dashboards, and intelligent document processing.
Excellent communication skills as the role will require frequent interaction with customers.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in data engineering, analytics, or AI roles, with at least 3 years on Google Cloud Platform.
Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, including Model Garden, Agent Builder, Pipelines, and foundation models.
Proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Terraform, and CI/CD tools like Cloud Build.
Strong understanding of financial services data domains and regulatory environments.
Experience with semantic search, generative AI, and LLM orchestration using tools like LangChain.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle-GCP integrations and financial data modernization programs.
