Overview & Key Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior Domain Architect to join their team. This strategic role is responsible for driving enterprise optimization by translating business needs into architectural solutions that meet performance, reliability, and security expectations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data architecture, particularly within the healthcare domain, with a proven ability to lead and collaborate on enterprise-level initiatives. This position is a great opportunity to influence architectural decisions, implement cutting-edge solutions, and directly impact the organization's strategic growth. Key Responsibilities include:
Prepare domain architecture viewpoints and models, depicting current, target, and interim states, and use them to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities.
Collaborate on the creation, design, engineering, and implementation of internal assets to improve solution quality. This includes supporting peer reviews and representing the architecture domain in briefings to the Architecture Review Board.
Collaborate with business and technical teams, key stakeholders, and partners to understand their needs and address technical limitations. Evaluate and select solution designs that align with IT and domain strategies.
Research emerging domain trends and participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes.
Develop and enhance architecture domain methods and tools, ensuring alignment with other SDLC disciplines.
Lead the enhancement of domain architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines, and support the development of reusable domain patterns.
Lead the domain assessment of new projects for architecture impacts and provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (An additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in lieu of a bachelor's degree.)
8 years of experience in Architecture Domain, leading architecture initiatives.
4-5 years experience in the Health Care Domain.
Experience in Data Architecture, specifically with tools like Erwin.
Experience with database implementations in both RDBMS and cloud environments (AWS).
Hands-on experience with Aurora Postgres and Redshift.
Ability to motivate and influence others, coach team members, and manage cross-domain architecture solutions.
Expertise with domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
A Certified System Architect certification is preferred.
