Responsibilities

Marketing: Gather prospect data from sources including competition accounts, Polk registrations, Fleet Seek, existing parts and service customers, ownership accounts, competitive brands, internet/LinkedIn, networking events and trade shows. Maintain a prospect system for storing/updating data and scheduled follow-up (CRM, CV360, or Excel). Contact prospects via face-to-face visits, monthly sales blitz, telephone, email, and direct mail. Participate in market and rate surveys, prepare annual marketing plans, and measure results. Participate in customer appreciation, retention, and satisfaction events and programs. Outside sales responsibilities include scheduled appointments with decision makers, needs assessments, and proposals.

Weekly preparation: Weekly itinerary with action plan by prospect/customer, weekly activity summary, weekly pipeline summary, preparation and presentation of full-service lease proposals, and pursuit of assigned full-service lease and commercial rental sales quotas, including new accounts and vehicles.

Rental operations: Achieve utilization and revenue margin targets, satisfy OEM training requirements, prepare monthly/annual forecasts, sell and deliver a minimum number of FSLs, write sales orders, stay current on products/services, maintain customer follow-up and prospect development systems, and conduct business ethically and professionally. Deliver vehicles with clear operating features and paperwork, and coordinate with service department for repairs and maintenance scheduling. Maintain professional appearance.

Administrative: Complete customer credit applications, rate sheets, lease and rental agreements, and related documents timely and accurately. Secure insurance binders, assist in receivables collection, support Leasing Manager with rental reservations, equipment legalization, in-service prep, delivery, substitutions, and service department needs. Maintain billing rate data and customer information.

Qualifications

High School Diploma; college degree preferred, with 2 years of experience in Truck Rental and Leasing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Strong mathematical skills for pricing, quoting, and selling complex equipment packages.

Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills.
