The following responsibilities, qualifications, and information describe the position and the expectations for applicants.

Responsibilities

Screen invoices to ensure payment processes are in compliance with disbursement and procurement regulations by interpreting state and agency policies.

Determine the need for corrective action, if any, to complete payments, obtain credits, and resolve payment discrepancies.

Confer with vendors, procurement officers, and requestors as part of the payment process.

Process invoices into the South Carolina enterprise information system for daily submission to the comptroller general.

Analyze reports, system data, and documents to resolve vendor statement problems and undertake corrective action.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

– State of South Carolina minimum requirements: a high school diploma.

SC DHE Minimum Requirements (or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources): a high school diploma and experience in entry-level accounting and bookkeeping.
