Senior Accountant – Lowell, MA area (Hybrid) $90k to $105k plus bonus KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a well-established SaaS/Technology organization in the Lowell, MA area to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a highly visible role within the corporate finance team, responsible for managing general ledger activities, project accounting, and royalty reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and drive continuous process improvements.

What You’ll Do

Manage project accounting processes, including new project setup, tracking, and purchase order approvals.

Prepare and process royalty calculations and payments for vendors and partners.

Support treasury activities, including debt and interest calculations.

Partner with event and operations teams to analyze and record program and symposium spending.

Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as capitalized costs, prepaid expenses, and accruals.

Prepare month-end journal entries and conduct P&L and balance sheet variance analyses.

Review and approve ERP requisitions and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Maintain financial accuracy in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Support external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and detailed analysis.

Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

3–5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and monthly close processes.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with larger ERP / Accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite, SAP.

Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar AI-driven tools.

CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
