Job Description
Palo Alto Networks has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director, Cortex & Cloud Finance and work with the Cortex & Cloud Finance Team and business partners to help build and deliver on our financial plans, support strategic decision-making, provide financial insight, and help build operational rigor and efficiency. This individual will also partner with Theater and Central Finance teams, and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations on a regular basis. Being successful in this role requires a strong analytical ability, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to support/enable process improvement and insights across all the key FP&A areas. Your Impact Build and develop SaaS metrics: refine existing and design new KPIs to make them business relevant and able to analyze the trend, changes versus industry benchmarks Own key Cortex & Cloud financial metrics, including ARR, Bookings, Revenue, Margins, Renewal rate, Customer Lifetime Value. Build financial models in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau or other systems to set up fully automated models Architect of visual presentation: create analytical storytelling and design for monthly/quarterly performance review decks and other presentations to senior management Be a Strategist: dig deeper into the business to provide actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. Theater finance, India COE team, IT, Customer Success, Sales Ops) to continually improve metrics alignment, data integrity, and automation Qualifications Your Experience 7+ years of related experience showing strong career progression; prior Corporate FP&A experience and/or familiarity with US GAAP revenue standards for technology companies/SAAS is a plus Strong knowledge of ASC-606 required Ability to link big picture to details with ease Experience with a combination of ARR, MRR, SaaS Metrics, Bookings, Renewals Familiarity with managing large datasets, applying relevant statistical frameworks and deriving executive-level insights Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills Willingness to adapt to rapid business and organizational changes in a high-growth environment Independent with enthusiasm for solving unstructured questions and providing thought leadership Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, G Suite, SAP, and Tableau; Pigment experience is a plus Bachelor degree in Economics/Business/Finance or related field or equivalent military experience required Additional Information Our Commitment We’re problem solvers that take risks and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $150,000 - $188,000/YR.
