Location : 79 Jefferson St HH Bliss Wing (10064) Setting : Inpatient, trauma surgery Schedule : Full-time, 3x13 hour shifts. Premium differentials offered. Call schedule: No call Role and Responsibilities
Part of a multidisciplinary trauma care team that delivers care from the emergency department through the operating room, surgical floors, critical care units, and outpatient settings Extensive training and onboarding will be provided, including management and resuscitation of level one trauma patients, first assist OR skills, chest tubes, central lines, and other procedures Under established guidelines and in collaboration with the practice physician(s), perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with the physician and care team Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice and refer outside scope when needed Qualifications
Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible) Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Experience: New graduates welcome to apply Preferred: 2+ years’ experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in a surgical setting Benefits
