Gift Card Program Manager
to lead the strategy, operations, and growth of our branded gift card business across physical, digital, and third-party channels. This role is responsible for driving revenue, enhancing the guest experience, and building partnerships that expand reach across both B2C and B2B markets.
Responsibilities
Gift Card Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute a comprehensive gift card strategy encompassing new distribution channels, co-branding opportunities, and promotional campaigns.
Identify new retail, wholesale, and digital platform opportunities to expand distribution.
Own revenue and growth targets, creating actionable plans to achieve them.
Design and manage promotional strategies for first-party (physical/digital) and third-party gift cards.
Integrate gift cards into digital, loyalty, and promotional programs to drive incremental sales and guest engagement.
Program P&L & Reporting
Own financial forecasting and performance for the gift card program in partnership with Finance.
Manage P&L and provide proactive insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
Deliver clear, consistent reporting and executive-level updates on results, performance, and future initiatives.
Program Management & Operations
Lead end-to-end operations for physical and digital gift cards — from design and fulfillment to pricing, promotions, and vendor relationships.
Manage partnerships with key distributors (e.g., Blackhawk, InComm, Fiserv) to maximize placement, ROI, and promotional impact.
Oversee B2B and bulk sales programs including corporate incentive strategies and account management.
Serve as project manager for all gift card initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment, testing, and timely execution.
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, distributors, and partners.
Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams on packaging, displays, and marketing assets that reflect brand standards.
Partner with Guest Services to ensure accurate, up-to-date information and support for guest inquiries.
Monitor inventory and fulfillment needs to ensure consistent restaurant-level availability.
Customer Experience & Marketing
Partner with Marketing, Loyalty, and Digital teams to integrate gift cards into campaigns, seasonal offers, and CRM initiatives.
Ensure a seamless guest experience for purchase and redemption across all channels.
Lead creative development for merchandising, packaging, and in-store displays.
Analytics & Optimization
Analyze performance metrics, sales trends, and redemption behavior to inform future strategy.
Track fraud risk, breakage, and liability in partnership with Finance and IT.
Provide regular reporting and insights on program health and optimization opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience managing gift card or digital commerce programs in retail, QSR, or e-commerce environments.
Proven success managing P&L, forecasting, and achieving growth targets.
Experience managing distributor partnerships (Blackhawk, InComm, Fiserv).
Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of digital payments, loyalty integrations, and fraud prevention best practices.
Working Conditions Preference will be given to Arizona-based candidates. This is a primarily remote role with occasional in-office presence required.
