RN Manager Trauma Center Full Time Days
This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level. The role has 24/7 responsibility for the manager’s assigned areas and is accountable to support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to the CNO for nursing and patient care functions across the hospital. Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice at the unit level. Maintain 24/7 accountability for the manager’s assigned areas and ensure continuous coverage. Support high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care; promote staff competency and effective resource management. Qualifications
Education Required: Academic degree in nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's or master’s degree. Experience Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position. Certifications Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law or regulation in the state of practice; AHA BLS certification.
