UPS Industrial Services is in search of Industrial
Site Safety Manager
for an existing maintenance project. Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for supporting UPS Industrial Services’ HSE culture, policy and objectives, specifically the day-to-day oversight of safety related activities related to the execution of safe work, in support of their assigned business unit at a designated client site or multiple sites. The responsibilities and duties below are designed as guidelines regarding the HSE knowledge and activity of Site Safety Manager, in support of their designated client site(s). This is a field level position. Essential Functions: Advise and coach personnel to support compliance with Local, State, Federal, and UPSIS’s HSE culture, policy and objectives. Guide UPSIS Site Supervision on all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters. Support operations personnel regarding control of work / permitting / job safety analysis. Facilitate toolbox safety meetings and safety training. Maintain awareness of, and communicate, specific customer HSE requirements. Conduct / document routine job hazard observations and audits. Facilitate the investigation / reporting of incidents and accidents. Provide emergency response / incident and post-incident case management Assist operations in the collection of statement(s) / documentation for an incident Coordinate with Operations and HSE leadership to determine and implement corrective actions Monitor / assess permit-required confined space and supplied air operations. Administer the equipment inspection program – PPE, tools, rigging, etc. Participate in Client HSE Committees and Programs. Attend client meetings. Be aware of all high-risk jobs and support as needed. Submit Weekly Reports to Operations and Area / Corporate HSE leadership. Ensure all HSE forms / documents are available for use and are filed accordingly. Ensure data collection is completed as required. Use data trends to identify areas of focus and make recommendations for improvement. Coordinate with project supervision and HR department to support UPSIS’s substance testing program. Collaborate with Area Safety Manager / site / project leadership to prepare and submit safety action plans as needed. Must have a current driver’s license and meet the requirements of the fleet/vehicle policy. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct field safety experience in the petrochemical, refining or related industry. Strong interpersonal skills and a professional presence are required. Proficient in Microsoft Applications. High School diploma or equivalent. Basic Medic First Aid and CPR/AED Inclusive NCCER Certified Construction Site Safety Technician-CSST, Construction Health and Safety Technician-CHST, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist-OHST credentials or 10 Years of verifiable industrial Safety Supervisory experience. OSHAGeneral Industry or Construction Train the Trainer OSHA 500 series coursework. Recognition of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Training UPS Industrial Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
