Lead and oversee all OSHA safety programs such as PPE, Powered Industrial Equipment, Hazcom, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fire protection, etc. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals, ensuring the safety of associates as well as regulatory compliance. Oversee the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and the organization’s continued certification. Respond to safety issues in a manner that supports our corporate culture and ensures quick, positive resolution; respond to shop floor emergencies, document properly, and ensure appropriate care. Oversee training in areas such as safety procedures, laws and regulatory compliance, hazardous condition monitoring, the use of safety equipment, and environmental awareness. Foster relationships with cross-functional teams. Provide leadership in navigating complex challenges, ensuring operational efficiency and organizational success. Conduct ergonomic, acute risk, and hazard assessments on the factory floor to prioritize risks and identify opportunities for safety improvements. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5 or more years of work experience OR 13 years of relevant work experience. At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role. Strong background in environmental health and safety, and a deep understanding of regulations and compliance. Environmental Health and Safety experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. What Sets You Apart
Professional EHS Certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH, CEP, CHMM, ISO14001 Lead Auditor). Demonstrated experience in leading transformative change and driving high-performance teams. Expertise in TPS and 5S. Familiarity with negotiating contracts and managing vendors. A history of success in achieving organizational goals and delivering measurable results. Where And When You’ll Work
This position is based on-site at our Greene, NY location, where you’ll collaborate closely with your team in a dynamic workplace. This position requires being on-call during off shifts and weekends to handle any EHS issues that may arise. Travel between satellite locations within a 50 mile radius regularly (Binghamton, Kirkwood, Marathon). Minimal long-distance travel. Compensation & Benefits Package
Salary:
$94,020 - $133,798 per year. Compensation is based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Relocation:
